Introduction: Quality of life is directly related to the development of the individual's abilities, since sensory deprivation is able to interfere in this progression, the early detection of deafness is necessary. In this scenery, neonatal hearing screening program is inserted, the main instrument for the first identification of hearing loss, formed mainly by the realization of the evoked otoacoustic emissions and auditory brainstem evoked potential. Objective: this project will analyze and compare the agreement of the responses measured by conventional and / or automatic ABR and OAE Method: This is a cross-sectional descriptive and analytical study. As a pre-collection procedure, the basic audiological evaluation will be performed to determine the audiometric thresholds and then the subjects will be divided into 2 groups, as following: Group 1 - formed by 10 individual's with normal audiometric thresholds; Group 2a - formed by 10 individual's with cochlear hearing loss and Group 2b - formed by 10 individual's with retrocochlear hearing loss. The collection, with recording of the auditory potential of conventional and / or automatic brain stem by transient otoacoustic emissions and product distortion, will be performed, and then the analysis and comparison of the responses of the two groups will be performed. For that, the descriptive analysis and inferential statistical analysis of the data will be done. (AU)
