This research project aims to investigate the intelectual and personal relations stabilished between the writers Victoria Ocampo and Gabriela Mistral on the letters exchanged between them from 1926 to 1956. The initial hipotesys is that Ocampo and Mistral would have developed projects and adviced each other about their professional edeavors over the years. Alongside these discussions, they shared their yearnings, expectations and frustrations regarding the restrictions imposed on them by being women and Latin Americans, partially integrated into European cultural circuits. In ascertaining the elaboration of these registers, it is possible to reconstitute the intricacies of these writers in their insertions in the intellectual and cultural spheres. The analyses of the correspondences allows the reconstruction of obstacles and obstacles faced by women dared to enter predominantly masculine intellectual spaces. (AU)
