The electrochemical response of PB to molecular targets can be improved from the use of pentacyanidoferrates(II). These new generated structures are less crystalline than those obtained from traditional PB and have many defects. This set of characteristics allows improve the sensitivity and decrease the limits of detection and quantification.Thereby, the objective of the project is the modification of screen printed electrodes with PB and modified PB in order to obtain sensing devices. This proposal is complementary to the Projeto Temático: "Development of novel materials strategic for integrated analytical devices" process 22127-2/2013. The assembly of the devices will be carried out in the laboratory of Prof. Craig E. Bank of Manchester Metropolitan University.Prof. Banks' group is one of the most important in the world in studies of the electrochemical properties of graphene and the construction/assembly of screen-printed electrode. In addition, we started a collaboration in 2014 with an exchange student and we published two scientific paper in renowned journals. This collaboration was only possible due to a funding from FAPESP in a BEPE project.
