Abstract

GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) has been increasingly used for a wide range of purposes. In addition to the widespread North American GPS (Global Positioning System), three similar systems are orbiting the Earth: GLONASS, developed by the former Soviet Union and which has now a full constellation, and the European Galileo and the Chinese BeiDou, both under implementation phase and with plans for a full constellation by 2020. Through the navigation messages, GPS and Galileo send parameters for correction of the ionosphere through the Klobuchar and NeQuick models, respectively. The tendency is that in the future these four systems work together, with correction parameters being shared among them, improving the availability and accuracy of the positioning. With this research we aim study the combined use of these systems in Point Positioning and analyze the applicability of the Klobuchar and NeQuick models in all four systems. With this project, it will be possible to analyze data quality and accuracy in positioning using precise ephemeris and atmospheric corrections, especially with respect to the systems under implementation phase, which have not been studied in Brazil.
