Abstract

Parasitism is one of the main limiting factors of productivity in livestock, thus effective measures are needed to control helminthes in cattle, as well as more sustainable and profitable agricultural and livestock farming systems. The objective of this study was to evaluate the influence of different levels of shade (ILPF) on the amount of larvae in the pasture and the degree of helminthosis in Nellore x Angus heifers, correlating the recovery of larvae, Pasture and helminth infection along with climatic data. The experiment will be carried out from April to September 2017, with 72 heifers ½ Nelore x ½ Angus, in an area of 25 hectares divided into 12 paddocks of Urochloa brizantha cv Marandu. The experimental design was a randomized block design with three treatments and four replications. Treatment 1, Integration - Livestock - Fodder and treatment 2 and 3, Agrossilvipastoril system (single lines and triple lines, respectively), each picket will be managed with an average height of 30 cm and the evaluation of the pasture will be done every 28 days. In this same period, the animals will be weighed (daily weight gain - DWG), feces collections (FEC tests - fecal egg count) by McMaster chamber (GORDON and WHITLOCK, 1939), cultivation and extraction Of larvae by the method of Roberts and O'Sullivan (1950) and Baermann (1917), the identification of these larvae by Keith's key (1953). In the grass collection, also every 28 days, the average concentration of infective larvae of gastrointestinal nematodes per kilogram of dry matter will be evaluated. The data collected will be submitted to analysis of variance and to the Tukey test, a level of significance of 5% through the SISVAR program. (AU)
