Abstract

This project proposes the development of a prototype of electric bicycle. The starting point is a commercial bicycle, which will be powered by an electric motor. This engine will be feed by energy storage in supercapacitors, which are powerful storers with long life. Supercapacitors will be loaded by Dynamos at strategic times of ride or while the bike is stopped at a specific rack. The scientific and technological challenge will be the engine of the two-wheeled vehicle, the development of the supercapacitor bank and conversion, control, signal conditioning and protection circuits. After developing bench prototypes including buildings and characterizations, we assemble the prototype and study the possibility of legal protection technology via INOVA / UNICAMP and Incubation of a company via Incamp/UNICAMP. Many previous results of the supervisor and its collaboration network [1-32] opened the door for this election, which will enable the training of specialized human capital in the energy sector and possibly will be the seed of a Brazilian company in a new concept of electric bicycle.
