Abstract As a demand from the public managers responsible for the approval of the Restoration Projects for Degraded and Changed Areas (PRADAs) in the State of São Paulo, this project aims to identify, map and quantify areas for Legal Reserve (RL) compensation in the state, as a result of federal and state laws (Lei Federal 12.651/2012; Lei 15.684/2015, Decreto 61.792/2016 e Resolução Conjunta SMA/SAA-1/2016), as well as to test a prototype of an automated tool to consult georeferenced information, in order to contribute to the state's role in the development and application of methodology for the implementation of the New Forest Code.
