The Tarot Visconti -Sforza as a space of relations and transfers in the fifteenth century Italian

Abstract

In search of new perspectives on the treatment of art objects by art history, the research project aims to demonstrate the relevance of the studies on the movement of iconographic models that contributed to the artistic production of the XV century Lombard. Through analysis tarot Visconti-Sforza made to the court of Milan, cultural confluences that marked the transition from the Middle Ages to the Modern and which are reflected in the art by the permanence of the previous iconographic models will be highlighted. The tarot is presented here as a significant artistic object to the understanding of circulations because it suggests a broad network of relationships between social agents - in addition to the artist and principal, the own artistic objects such as the frescoes and manuscripts - to be produced and evokes recognition of popular artistic productions as part of the same space of image transfers.
