Abstract

This project aims to build capacitors based on graphene and self-assembled layers of dielectric nanoparticles for the electrical doping of graphene. If successful, the project will provide a simple (and unpublished) way to build a graphene capacitor, wherein the thickness of the dielectric layer is easily adjusted. For the success of this line it is crucial to master graphene transfer techniques to a suitable substrate, as well as the deposition of nanoparticles of graphene. Metallic nanoparticles will also be used to help with the plasmon excitation of charged graphene. (AU)
