Abstract

The Italian writer Pier Paolo Pasolini is known, until today, as one of the most important intelectuals who have thought about the Italian society of 1970. Despite of many other writers who have also tried to comprehend the economical, political and cultural changes which were happening in Italy, Pasolini's essays became responsable for the popularization of his public figure related to polemic statements and controversal denunciations. The present project intends to analize Pasolini's acting in big Italian newspapers, starting from the supposition that there are particularities in his journalism that put him in a prominent place, specially in relation to the intense debate among other writers of these big newspapers. The hypothesis is that the particularities of Pasolini's journalism must be seen considering not only his own words, but also the political-cultural debate that circulated in these newspapers and the circunstamces in which it was created.
