Abstract

Larvae of S. frugiperda and H. armigera will be collected on different host plants on a major agricultural producing area of the state of Bahia, represented by the following crops: soybean, corn, cotton, millet and beans. Gut microbial diversity will be determined through metagenomic analysis. Larvae collected from each host plant will have their gut dissected and the microbiota associated with the midgut will be collected and pooled for RNA extraction. (AU)
