Sustainable production of sugarcane bioenergy: integrated analysis of production models

Abstract

The evaluation of sustainable processes for bioenergy production using sugarcane as feedstock in developing countries, particularly Colombia, Mozambique, South Africa and Guatemala, has been explored throughout the past 4 years by the researchers of the LACAf project.The LACAf project is currently in its last phase, therefore, the proposed work will be focused on contributing with data analysis/obtainment and required literature review for the completion of papers/reports (Technical, socioeconomic and environmental assessment of different sugarcane bioenergy production models), and assisting in the drafting of the LACAf's project final report.
