Abstract

Introduction: The hospital environment exposes workers to unhealthy and inadequate working conditions. Among the workers included in the hospitals, the nursing professionals are mentioned, who work in the last process of care. Among the occupational hazards that these workers are exposed are the psychosocial ones, which can cause damages to the mental / mental health. Anxiety and stress are one of the main problems faced by nursing professionals in the hospital environment, and often, their diagnosis is late, making treatment difficult. Objective: To verify if concentrations of Chromogranin A and salivary Amylase are related to the anxiety and stress changes of hospital nursing professionals. Method: This is a cross-sectional, quasi-experimental, correlational and quantitative approach that will be developed in a hospital institution in a municipality of Minas Gerais, with approximately 270 nursing professionals, among them nursing assistants and technicians and nurses . The data will be collected by a semi-structured questionnaire to characterize the population, by the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI), by the Lipp Adult Stress Symptom Inventory (ISSL) and by collecting the saliva sample from the participants using the Falcon Tube . The data collected by the instruments and the quantitative results of salivary analyzes will be entered in an MS-Excel spreadsheet, version 2010, for the elaboration of the database. Subsequently, the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) software version 17.0 will be used for descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. Presentation of results: The results will be presented through tables and graphs, including absolute and percentage values, and numerical variables with descriptive statistics (mean, median, standard deviation, minimum and maximum) and inferential.
