This project proposes to investigate the applications of self-confrontation, which is a device used by work analysts as an organizer mechanism of mediation and co analysis of the working process transformation; and also is a device used by researchers as a methodological tool for academicals investigations data collection. The self-confrontation has been developed in a theoretical scenario of Activity Clinic, which is inside the Social and Work Psychology field, and has a epistemological root the Cultural and Historical Psychology of Vygotsky. It is intended, through the execution of this investigation, to compose a complete frame of the art status of uses of self-confrontation over the activities of research and co-analysis of occupational actions by scholars of multiple academicals fields in Brazil. The primary goal is to identify and examine the applications of self-confrontation in dissertations and theses of stricto sensu postgraduation national programs between 1997 and 2105, considering the data that became available in the "Banco de Teses da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior" (CAPES) and in "Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertações" (BDTD). The secondary goals will be: detect the analysis of similarities and differences in the application of self-confrontation in works produced in the country comparatively to indications of the use of the device by researchers of Clinic Activity; ascertain and discuss the approximations and differences in the way that self-confrontation is used in Brazilian researches of multiple academic knowledge field as Public Health, Literature, Education, Linguistic, etc., yet, in different universities and postgraduation programs. At the end of this work, it is hoped to present systemized data, discuss and analysis capable of contribute for methodological and contextualization fo Brazil in this device. (AU)
