Abstract During the making of the PhD research to which this project is related ("Musical structures of samba-enredo" / Process N.. 2014/27355-6), we have defended the presence of strong traits of orality in the music produced by the samba schools of Rio de Janeiro. For this reason, this project aims to realization, by the grant holder, of an academic exchange at the Paris 8 University (Saint-Denis, France) under the supervision of Professor Sandrine Loncke, an expert on the relationship between music and oral memory. We believe that during this period the student will have contact with concepts that will enable him to get a greater understanding of the processes that involve the creation of musical works in popular genres such as the samba-enredo.
