Abstract

This project aims to analyze, through the poetry "saraus" that act in the field of marginal-peripheral art in São Paulo, the way they propose multiple articulations between the notions of aesthetic and politics, from its actions and interventions and speeches that underlie them and express in themselves. The analysis will be based in ethnographic work conducted with two of these poetry "saraus" in particular: The Sarau of Cooperifa, located in the south of São Paulo, Piraporinha neighborhood, in the district of M'Boi Mirim, and Sarau Suburbano, located in the central region the city, in the Bixiga neighborhood. The option of focusing analytically in this poetry "saraus" is justified by the attempt to establish links between them and, on the one hand the marginal-peripheral literature and on the other, cultural collectives that work with other artistic languages - this is the network that I call marginal-peripheral art. The aim of the proposed approach is to promote a dialogue between the discussion on the links between aesthetics and politics and literature on the peripheral regions of São Paulo, which has for a long time treated little on this issue. My focus of analytical interest here, therefore, is the aesthetic and discursive, artistic and political expression, of marginal statements and representations, that propose an extension of the discourse beyond their meanings seen as hegemonic, and of the politics beyond its official mechanisms and agents. In parallel to these discursive links, are built organizational links, especially in the presence of equipments and agents of the government, the cultural and financial markets and mass communication vehicles. The research will also pay attention to these links between the addressed collectives and marginal-peripheral poetry "saraus", the state, the market and the media. (AU)
