Abstract

The common bean is a legume of great importance agriculture and food, widely distributed throughout the Brazilian territory, being the major producer and consumer country. The average crop yield is low and the conservation of soil and improper use of nitrogenous fertilizer two major obstacles. Thus, the main goal is to study the effect of cover crops in consortium in the development and productivity of bean grown in rotation and fertilized with nitrogen levels in coverage tillage system. The experimental design will be randomized blocks and shall be the effect of the combination of cultural remains of unique Corn and intercropped with other crops (exclusive Corn, Corn + Crotalaria spectabilis, Corn + pigeon pea, corn + pork beans, corn + Urochloa riziziensis ) and nitrogen doses (0, 40, 80 and 120 kg ha-1), with four repetitions. The work will be developed at the Experimental Farm area of Education and Research belonging to the Faculty of Ilha Solteira - UNESP, located in Selvíria - MS. The soil of the site and the type Latossolo dark red dystrophic clayey, originally under savannah vegetation. During the development of the project will be carried out the following evaluations: dry matter yield, leaf nitrogen, number of pods per plant, number of grains per plant, average number of seeds per pod, weight of 100 grains, grain yield and crop cycle.
