This study has the general objective compare the satisfaction and self-confidence of nursing students in clinical activities simulated with and without the presence of the odors. The Specific objectives are to produce and validate simulated scenarios with odor of the feces, blood, vomit and infected wounds; identify and compare the satisfaction and self-confidence undergraduate nursing in simulated scenarios with and without the use of unpleasant odors; verify the perception of nursing students regarding nursing care to the patient with unpleasant odors in the simulated situations. To develop the study it will be performed in two steps. Step 1: Production and validation of the simulation scenarios with and without the presence of the odors of feces, blood, vomit and infected wounds. It will be developed and validated four simulated scenarios of medium fidelity to the presence of odors and four simulated scenarios of medium fidelity without the presence of odors. The scenarios will be compounds of: 1) 1) 02 biosafety scenarios in nursing care to patients in gastric disorders with presence of vomiting and hematemesis; 2) 01 biosecurity scenario in nursing care to adult patients with intestinal elimination in disposable diaper; 3) 01 biosafety scenario in nursing care to patients with infected ulcer pressure. The scenarios will be elaborated based on the literature review and expert opinion. It will be built medium fidelity scenarios regarding the proposed roadmap for Fabri et al., (2015). Besides that, it will add fermented foods and industrialized food (bean soup and soup onion, gorgonzola cheese, cold raw meat with abundant presence of blood) in the scenarios. Step 2: Compare and identify the perception, satisfaction and self-confidence of nursing students in the simulation environment with and without the use of odors. A workshop regarding Simulation will be offered during step 2. The event will be published on the institution's web page with the theme Biosecurity during nursing care. During the workshop activities, students will be invited to participate in the study and will be divided into two groups: control group and intervention group. At the end of the participants activity will be respond to Students' satisfaction with simulated clinical experiences (ESECS) (Baptista et al., 2014). The perception data will be grouped by similarity. Exploratory statistical analysis will be performed with frequency analysis, percentage and correlation. The groups will be compared by defined statistical tests after sample analysis. (AU)
