Abstract

Tissue engineering has shown some promising methods to restore vitality of the dental pulp, being and it's essential to its progress the development of scaffoldsand the incorporation of new technologies. Thus, nanofibers scaffolds composed of polymeric substances generated by eletrospinning have optimistic results in regenerative endodontics. However, the lack of cell recognition and low surface free energy of these scaffolds are factors that prejudice the adhesion, proliferation and differentiation. In this project, cold plasma at atmospheric pressure will be used to change and increase the reactivity of a polidioxanone /hexaisofluoroisopropanol scaffold with LL-37, evaluating whether this treatment will promote an increase in the surface free energy by measuring the contact angle with a goniometer and analyzing its results in vitro quantitatively and qualitatively in dental pulp stem cells (DPSC) proliferation by scanning electron microscope. The results will be analyzed by statistical tests previously chosen, it will be applied the most convenient test for each analysis using significance level of 5%.
