Abstract This study project consists of the commented translation of the short story "Jeu des Grâces" by the French author Villiers de l'Isle-Adam. At first an interpretation and an analysis of the piece will be made, which will serve as a support for the translation process. The second step is to elaborate a translation concept for carrying on with the translation itself. The critical comment that goes along aims to unravel the translation act and, at the same time, to define translation principles for this specific piece and author, which may be in support for the improvement of translation. | |
