Fault location is an important task in eletric power systems, motivated by needs of high availiability and dependability. This task requires eletric network's info, that can only be extracted from its voltage and current signals, to identify a fault event and determine the fault location. This Scientific Initiation research project aims to develop an C++ algorithm to obtain current and voltage phasors from substations and extract information about these signals spectral contents, using Fourier and Wavelet Transform. The obtained results will be used in a fault location in distribution networks with distributed generation algorithm.
