Entanglement is a fundamental resource in quantum manipulation of information. It is necessary for efficient information processing, overcoming tasks that are difficult for classical processors. It may also be used form implementation of quantum cryptography, and is necessary for teleportation of quantum states. Our proposal involves the generation of entanglement between fields of different colors using a tunable optical parametric oscillator. Our goal is the generation of entangled fields at D1 and D2 lines of alkali atoms (795 and 780 for rubidium) and the C-band of optical telecommunications using optical fibers (around 1560 nm). Those wavelengths are interesting. The first one may be use to address potential candidates for quantum memories of processors, overcoming the limitations of storage of photons. The second wavelength allows the transmission of information with reduced losses through small scale passive optical networks, either in optical fibers, or in integrated networks based on waveguides in Si and SiN chips. Moreover, there is a growing new field using nonlinear photonic systems using microcavities on chips, that are possible candidates for scalable quantum information processing. Nowadays, this scalability is one of the main restrictions to the development of quantum processors. The proposed system will allow the teleportation of information between atoms and those microcavities, integrating a quantum processing network. (AU)
