Abstract In the present study aimed to understand the existence of projects and their political leaders in the time interval from 1985 to 2015, based on an analysis of the political and media discourse Veja magazine which is also anchored in a political project built during the democratic transition. Therefore, we present a working hypothesis which understands that the hegemonic political project when the collapse of the military regime relegated us a legacy that is transmuted into a reconciliation of political culture and smothering of class conflict and was assimilated discursively in a historic conformism that rejects an existential politicization towards deepening democracy and consolidation of popular participation in state decisions. The premise underpinning the magazine's choice See is that it is one of the main propagators of a kind of conservative discourse causing this kind of debate in the traditional media, while it is contrainformação object of alternative media, such as progressive blogosphere, which will be examined in 2006 and 2015. Empirically we will concentrate on the analysis of the main political-media scandals of the period, and this is not only a methodological strategy, but above all by an epistemological choice, because they are social facts according to Thompson (2002), but also because the theoretical frameworks of Gramsci (1968) and the historians of the Annales school (2005) consider the political-media scandals as conjunctural moments in a long-term process characterized by playing certain hegemony. | |
