The perception of family members about the family adherence on treatment of chemical dependent

Abstract

The family, over the years, has been considered as a social and cultural institution that cares and needs to be cared, therefore, becoming focus of studies as a care unit. In the ambit of the issue of the consumption of psychoactive substances, the family can be considered as scenario and protection factor, especially when it adheres the treatment of its sick member. This study has the general objective to analyze the perception of family member on the membership and engagement of the family in the treatment of addict on monitoring in Center of Psychosocial Attention to alcohol and other drugs. The research method will consist of qualitative research, having as research participants family members of users of CAPS - ad, who participate in the Family Groups. The instrument for data collection will be the semi-structured interview, and their data will be analyzed by content analysis, theme category. Will be respected all ethical precepts disciplined by Resolution 466/2012 regulated by National Council of Health. It is expected that the results of this study present the main factors that facilitate and hinder the family adherence to treatment of addict. This research could contribute to the understanding of factors of adherence and nonadherence family in the treatment of drug addict member, both to health professionals and their families.
