Abstract

The study of magnetic materials applied for the processing and storage of information has increased in recent decades. One the milestone that arises in developing for a unique material with these two features. In this sense, has intensified research in multiferroic materials that combine both ferromagnetic and ferroelectric properties, and as a consequence, exhibit magnetoelectric effect. This project (BEPE) has as its main objective the development of thin films of peroviskitas quadrupole LaMn3Mn4O12 grown by the technique of pulsed laser deposition (PLD) on substrates that provide stress to the material to simulate the conditions of high pressure necessary for this material. It also will be performed specific heat measurements as a function of magnetic field and Raman spectroscopy to characterize samples and single crystal films obtained during their stay in Paris. (AU)
