Abstract

This PhD project contemplates a logistic problem. The main goal is to integrate characteristics that arenot properly considered in the literature to the operational characteristics of a logistic strategy known as cross-docking. This strategy's goal is to eliminate the storage of goods and, although the literature contemplatesmany operational aspects of cross-docks, no paper was found mentioning the container loading problem ofthe distribution freight. This project will explore this gap. Besides, we also intend to consider the carbondioxide emission by the freight.
