This project emerges from the concern on understanding the electoral geography of the Brazilian states, assuming that there is an important relationship between the voters and the space in which they live. This study takes as its starting point the use of electoral geography theoretical framework and application of techniques derived from the Geoinformation Science to assist in observation and understanding of the election results, specifically under the following themes: (i) the consequences of the introduction of electronic voting; (ii) turnout in a compulsory-voting country; and (iii) influence of the evangelical religion in the electoral behavior in the city of São Paulo.
