The evaluation of the built environment in the projects affordable housing: from the urban integration until the typology

Abstract

This research project aims to analyze and evaluate the implementation of two projects affordable housing in Presidente Prudente County - SP, an accomplished from the National Housing Plan with the creation of the National Housing Bank (1964) and the other from the National Policy for Social Housing (2005) with the Minha Casa Minha Vida. Considering the period of 30 years between the construction of the two projects, intends to verify what were the advances in housing policies from built projects. Both sets have single family types with housing units distributed in lots. In this sense, has as main objective research studying the relationship of the production of formal housing with their integration into the urban environment, through the development proposal for a methodology, with the techniques of Post-occupancy Evaluation. We intend to analyze each of the sets considering the location factor in the urban, infrastructure and the use and occupation of the environment, checking for urban services and the occupation of spaces for leisure. After checking the urban aspects, will be sought-evaluate their housing units, comparing typologies and lots; as well as the degree of satisfaction of the residents. After analyzing each set of results are compared. The project is part of Center for Studies in Housing and Cities that seeks to develop research is thematic in non-metropolitan cities, with the chance to reflect on the contemporary urban problems and consequent projective action of the city.
