Abstract

The Rice crop in succession to forage grass in no-till system has gained ground in Brazil. In this system, new alternatives for nitrogen fertilization management have emerged and farmers have applied in advance all nitrogen (N) in the producer plant straw or the straw just before the seeding of annual crops. However, there are many doubts about the technical feasibility of this practice. The present research will be conducted in the 2015/16 growing season in Botucatu-SP. The experimental design is a randomized block in a 2x6 factorial design, with four repetitions. The treatments will consist of two forage species (Urochloa brizantha and Urochloa ruziziensis) and six forms of nitrogen topdressing management for annual crops, which are: control (0 kg ha-1 N), application of 100 kg ha-1 N in coverage in profiling the rice crop, 20 days before the desiccation of cover crops, 10 days before the desiccation of cover crops, five days before the desiccation of cover crops and 1 day before the sowing of rice crop. Will assess the nutritional status, the production components and grains rice productivity; just like dry matter production by forage plants and the nutrients accumulation before drying. The data will be submitted to analysis of variance by F test (p d 0.05) and the results compared by t LSD test (t LSD).
