The gait of children with CP is characterized by flexion, adduction and internal rotation of the hip, knee flexion and decreased dorsiflexion during stance phase. Studies evaluating the effect of KT on treatment of children with CP have promising results with better biomechanical alignment, proper muscle activation and consequent improvement of posture and function of children. However such studies have nonspecific findings and was not found studies relating the use of KT to spatio-temporal and angular variables changes of gait and postural control of children with CP. Objective: To evaluate the effect of KT on spatio-temporal, angular, postural control and muscle activation during gait of children with CP. Methods: Will be included children between 5 to 12 years, spastic hemiplegic PC with level I and II GMFCS and which has independent walking for at least six months. The control group will consist of typically developing children of the same age. Will be evaluated spatio-temporal, angular, postural control and muscle activation variable during two conditions of gait: KT and placebo condition. The descriptive results will be given through the mean and standard deviation. Comparisons between the bandage conditions will be evaluated by an appropriate test according to distribution of data. For all the analyzes will be adopted a significance level of 5% (pd 0.05). (AU)
