Alpha estrogen antigen determination using an immunosensor based on graphene modified with gold nanoparticles and quantum dots of PbS as a marker

Abstract

In this research project will be evaluated the antigen estrogen alpha presence (ER±) using biosensors based on graphene (GR) modified with gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) and a marker-based on quantum dots of PbS. It is intended to enhance the immunosensor manufacturing method for higher sensitivity, selectivity, and efficiency in the detection of cancer cells. Currently, breast cancer is the second most common type of cancer in the world, accountable for 22% of new cases every year, according to INCA. Although breast cancer is relatively rare in women under 35, it is essential the early diagnosis for the appropriate treatment be effective. The world average of women survival is 61% after five years of undiagnosed disease and this need for rapid analysis is that leads to the improvement of techniques and materials used to produce a new biosensor.
