Abstract

The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of administration of a probiotic preparation (Biogenic -Aqua-PHOTO) containing probiotics Bacillus substilis and Lactobacillus plantarum of Nile Tilapia post-larvae during the sexual reversion under stress triggered by high density conditions. The experiment will be conducted in the at Fisheries Institute of São Paulo, at Laboratory of Health of Aquatic Organisms. Experimental design will be completely randomized including four treatments: 1) supplementing probiotic in the feed; 2) Adding probiotic in aquarium water; 3) Supplementing probiotic in feed and adding in water; 4) control diet. Every treatment will include five replications. The four groups will receive commercial diet supplemented with hormone 17-±-methyltestosterone. The parameters evaluated will be qualitative and quantitative microbiology of organisms present in the water of aquariums and intestinal microbiota of fry. Other parameters to be assessed are: final weight, total length and survival; cortisol and lysozyme levels. Results will be analyzed by submitting data to ANOVA and Tukey test (p <0,05). (AU)
