Abstract

The aim of this study is to assess the influence of different photo polymerization protocols on the bond strength of glass fiber posts fixed with experimental resin cements containing different onium salt concentration. Sixty roots of bovine incisors will be endodontically prepared and divided in 6 groups, raging up the concentration of DFI between 0,5mol%, 1mol% or 0mol% and photo polymerization protocol: P1: acid etching for 15 seconds, primer application, followed by the bond Scotchbond Multipurpose (3M ESPE), photoactivation for 20 seconds at a 1200 mW irradiance, introduction of CE, positioning of the post into the channel and photo activate the three components simultaneously. The roots containing the cemented posts will be submitted to the push-out bond strength test at a speed of 0.5 mm/min. Fracture pattern analysis will be conducted through stereoscopic microscope (Leica MZ75 50X) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The data collected will be tabulated and evaluated for its normality for subsequent submission to the appropriate statistical tests.
