Changes and maintenance in Traditional Centre of Ribeirão Preto - SP

Abstract

Considering the present context of changing consumption and location standard in the Brazilian cities, the resource will work for the understanding of changing places the occurred in the last years in no metropolitan city center of Ribeirão Preto, having as focus the analysis of physical remained as a process that relates the historic city center and the currently main center, associating studies of human geography, urbanism and architectural heritage for an in-depth understanding oh the theme Thus, the center becomes the target of numerous processes such as emptying of deterioration and changes in local consumption, and thus will be changing over the years the centrality of the city. Such processes have numerous consequences as changing of its members, owners, and use standards in its entirety, but still maintains a meaning inherent in this area, which will be the focus of this study.
