Abstract

The objective of this research project will be to evaluate the productive attributes and qualitative of bean plant cultivars in response to nitrogen fertilization applied in cover in the system of direct planting. The experimental delineation used will be in randomized blocs in a scheme of split plot, with four repetitions. The plots will be composed by three bean plant cultivars (Pérola, IAC Alvorada e IAC Milênio) of the commercial group carioca and the subplots constituted for four nitrogen doses (0, 70, 140 e 210 kg ha-1 de N). The productive attributes evaluated will be the nitrogen content in the leaves, dry matter of plants, final plant population, number of pods by plants, number of grains by pod, mass of 100 grains, productivity of grains and agronomic efficiency. Also will be evaluated the qualitative attributes how income of sieve, gross protein content, cooking time and the hydration capacity of beans grain. The data will be submitted to F test using the variance analysis and the averages compared by the Tukey test. The effects of nitrogen doses in cover, as well as cultivars integration x nitrogen doses, also will be studied by the polynomial regression.
