Abstract

The human activities are causing biodiversity decline, which requires tools to evaluate the consequences of the social-economic development in ecologic sustainability. The structural indicators of the landscape allows the monitoring and the diagnostics of interactions between human and natural systems over time. This project wants to analyze the dynamic of the ecologic sustainability of the Tietê-Jacaré watershed, between 2004 and 2014, upon the interactions among anthropic and natural systems using a landscape structural indicator. Topographic maps from IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistic) will be used to delimit the total area of the watershed and vectors informations, contour line and road network will be converted into shaperfile in QGIS software. The classification and mapping of its land use will be performed based on LandSat images, from 2004 to 2014. The INTERMAGE software will allow the classifications of the land use to be structured based on a semantic network, which allows the analysis of the relationship to be objectoriented based. The comparative analysis of the condition of the ecologic sustainability from Tietê-Jacaré, between 2004 and 2014, will be performed by the Urbanity Index (UI). The capacity of Tietê-Jacaré watershed in provide ecossistemic services will be evaluated by a matrix that will list all the ecossistemics services resulting from the supply capacity of each type of land cover.
