Abstract

Patents also include information arranged about the patent holder and, through various analyzes, it becomes possible to conduct marketing surveys for the corporate environment. Thus, it can stated that patents are kind of measurers of the inventive level and their citations are a means for measuring the flow or the impacts of knowledge of a country or firm. The representation of all or part of the information expressed in a patent citations network, allows revealing the directions, the developments and the emergence of new technological areas. Thus, the goal of the project is the evaluation and development of methodologies to assist in the analysis of the evolution of researches in the scope of bioenergy area through valuation of patents and / or scientific articles, ranging since technological areas considered broader and more known to other more emerging. The initial strategy adopted for the project will be the analysis of potential technologies for the production of second-generation ethanol: straw and bagasse of sugarcane; hard and soft wood; cron stalk, cob and stover; cotton; wheat straw; sisal; rice straw; coconut fiber; banana fiber; and barley straw. After that, a module to be add to the system Odysseýs will be implemented according to the chosen databases (articles and/or patents) and algorithmic functions for analyzing technological trajectories will be added. From the obtained results, it allows a selection of guidelines set for understanding and investigation of the most promising technological fields within the scope of bioenergy area. Furthermore, it is also possible to identify companies and organizations which could potentially establish technological contracts to operations research in the field of bioenergy. (AU)
