Abstract In this postdoctoral research, the approaching between of the works of the philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre and playwright Luigi Pirandello aims to research how theater can help to enlarge the significant space between people in which they can do new subjective choices. The theater, in Sartre's conception, has a great importance that is to show the human being in a certain situation in your daily life, as if he could see himself from its exterior. It is from this dramatic space that Pirandello part for understand the individual and their relationship with others. The man, according to Pirandello, to be able to relate with others, builds a mask or a certain form, and that's the way he invents himself. Sartre and Pirandello think that subjectivity is always in moving, changing and conflicting, is constructed as each one weaves lines of action in a given situation and in a specific place. The phenomenal place, for Merleau-Ponty, is the space where the body performs a set of actions that are organized in name of an existential project. The constitution of subjectivity has a close relationship with intersubjectivity and with the space we occupy in the world; it will be defined based on affective, political, professional, utopian and space ties that are established in the world. Pirandello's plays put on stage the perception of space from the subjectivity from the relation of intentionality that is established with this space. The theater, presenting a man situated, engaged in a life project through their words, their silence, their gestures and their actions, can be a way of inventing existence trajectories once unthinkable.
