Calcium silicate-based cements have potential as repairing materials may be used as an alternative to Tróxido Mineral Aggregate (MTA).This study aims to evaluate pH, absorption, solubility, porosity, setting time, radiopacity and compressive strength of cement Biodentine and pure tricalcium silicate or associated with 20% or 30% of zirconium oxide (ZrO2). For analysis of pH, polyethylene tubes with 10 mm length and 1 mm in diameter are filled with each material and immersed in 10 ml of distilled water. Experimental periods are 12, 24 hours, 7, 14, 21 days. The absorption test, solubility and porosity will be performed according to ISO 4049 standard; 2009.The setting time will be assessed according to ISO 6876/2002 using Gilmore needle mass and 100 ± 0.5g 2 ± 0.1mm diameter pressed against the concrete surface. It will also be assessed final setting time with Gilmore needle mass 456 ± 0.5g and 0.1 ± 1 mm diameter at the tip. In radiopacity test, body-specimens of each material will be radiographed with aluminum scale and will determine the equivalence of the radiopacity of sealers in millimeters of aluminum. For compressive strength testing, body-of-specimens (n = 6) cylindrical with 12 mm high and 6 mm in diameter will be subjected to mechanical compression in Emic DL 2000 testing machine after 21 days. The results will be submitted to a normality test, followed by statistical parametric test ANOVA and Tukey, with 5% significance.
