Abstract

This project aims to check which playful pedagogical resources and teaching strategies can be used in the development of activities with Target Student of Special Education (TSSE) diagnosed with Down Syndrome (DS), in the Specialized Educational Services (SES). The SES is a support service to complement and/or supplement the common class, developed in Multifunction Resource Rooms (MRR) that are environments with pedagogical and technological equipment’s, accessible furniture and teaching materials. Who works in the MRR are specialized teachers in SES that is meant to: identify the needs of students and to create and articulate a teaching plan based on common education, appropriating resources available in MRR. The MRR contains several resources that help the teaching and learning process of the students who are attended, namely: computers, teaching materials, educational games, mobile alphabets, software, and other resources of Assistive Technology (AT). The Promotion Centre for Inclusion, Digital, School and Social (PCIDSS), located in Faculty of Science and Technology (FCT/ UNESP) of Presidente Prudente/SP has a MRR, dedicated to the use of graduate students who intend to work with the Special Education. In this sense, from the analysis of recreational and educational resources, such as educational toys, teaching materials, games, jokes and even some AT resources available in MRR PCIDSS, the researcher will make planning activities using the recreational and educational resources selected as a teaching and learning strategy for the care of a student with DS. Data collection will be conducted through field work undertaken in PCIDSS environment, and the selected features will be analyzed in order to indicate the use of these strategies for student learning with DS.
