Abstract

For a teacher, the healthy voice is essential, because that's his main instrument, so it is something to be considered. It is necessary having awareness of the precautions to be taken and their correct use through guidance of vocal welfare. Currently the voice disorder is a major cause of absence from teaching work, which directly interferes in the professional career. Thinking about it, a specific complementary was elaborated to be applied to those individuals with and without voice disorders, associated with a general screening protocol risk of dysphonia (PRRD) whose applicability has been proven with the adult women with and without complaint, and in child population in both studies presenting relevant. Objective: this project aims to verify the applicability of the Risk Screening Protocol Dysphonia/ General and Additional Protocol to the spoken voice professionals , specifically teachers, as well as to correlate the data from the two protocols with aspects of percentual evalution and acoustic voice.Method: This was cross-sectional study in which 60 teachers of both sexes were participating, 30 of them had complaints and voice alteration (GD) and 30 of them did not have complaints (GND). The participants will get their voices recorded in na acoustically treated environment, where tasks are pre-defined in the CAPE-V, translated into Brasilian Portuguese. The samples will get to go trough a perceptual vocal analysis that will be performed by a voice specialist and will be considered the overall grade (G), as shown in previous studies. Based on this analysis the groups will be divided into GD- Group with dysphonia and GND- group without dysphonia. For GD will be performed otorhinolaryngological evaluation to confirm the change and subsequent classification of dysphonia. The PRRD/General score shall be added to the PRRD/ Complementary score to the voice speaking professional, reaching the final score. These three scores, as well as the items that compose these protocols will be compared between the two groups, to check for possible diferentiation between them. The comparison between the evaluations findings of perceptual, acoustic and classification of dysphonia for the group change will also be made.
