Abstract

The project aims to evaluate the anthelmintic potential of grape pomace (Maximum IAC-138-22) generated by the fermentation process for the production of wine, in an attempt to combine the nutritional properties of pomace to use also in infection control parasite in sheep. The anthelmintic activity will be determined in vitro tests on eggs, larvae and adult worms of helminth obtained from naturally infected sheep. Phytochemical analysis will also be conducted to determine the main phytochemicals present in the pomace, besides the centesimal and mineral composition of the pomace from this variety of grape.
