Abstract

The culture of sugarcane is of extreme importance for the country, is to produce sugar, ethanol, as in the generation of electricity. Studies indicate that the water content in the soil is a major constraint to increased productivity of sugarcane, especially in areas considered marginal. The planting of sugarcane is by stalks. In incipient stage, are being developed and refined techniques of planting the crop, known as MPB, or pre-sprouted seedlings. Also is evolving the development of new varieties of sugarcane. A combination of research between varieties of sugarcane grown in conditions without water restriction and water restriction conditions by planting in MPB should be analyzed to ensure high levels of productivity. The main objective of this proposal will be to evaluate the development, production and technological quality of five varieties of sugarcane planted through pre-sprouted plants with supplemental irrigation and non-irrigated. The experiment will be installed in the demo area and experimental irrigation FCAV, UNESP. Plants of sugarcane spaced 0.5 m between plants and 1.5 m between rows of plants, will be planted. The irrigation system will be used drip irrigation, which will be buried under the crop row. The emitters will be installed at 30 cm depth. The tube will have thick wall and emitter with spacing of 0.3 m. Irrigation management is via climate with rainfall and climate data obtained daily. The supplemental irrigation will be performed whenever accumulated water deficits of 30 mm crop occur. To evaluate the crop response to treatment, we shall analyze the main biometric parameters, such as technological qualities and productivity. This study will be analyzed five varieties of cane sugar, which are: A (CTC 4), B (IACSP93-3046), C (RB86-7515), D (IACSP95-5000) and E (IAC91-1099). The experiment will be two factors: irrigated (I) and non-irrigated (NI) with 12 repetitions. These factors will be allocated to plots and varieties shall be allocated to the subplots. The experimental design will be incomplete block design (BIB) with three varieties by plot. (AU)
