Smart grids are the future trend of power systems, where communication network and autonomous devices to enable several new featuresare expected. The PhD project entitled `Development of Multi-agent Systems Applied to Intelligent Electric Power istribution Systems'' has the aim to modeling and simulating several features of smart grids using multiagent systems in conventional computing environments. This proposal of BEPE project requires the extension of the research in order to simulate the methods in a embedded simulation platform developed by researchers from Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden, where the devices have a lower computational performance than personal computers, and with the intense use of communication network as in real smart grid environment. The internship will take place in KTH, Stockholm, with duration of 5 months. (AU)
