Abstract

Community health workers (CHW) have a key role in promoting health for the population, especially those belonging to a high vulnerability level. Therefore, they can be inserted in programs for prevention of various diseases, as well as educational, cultural and social activities for the community. The adoption of physical activity, healthy eating habits and the management of stress are factors that might improve the quality of life of the individuals. This research aims to analyze the relevance, feasibility and satisfaction of using educational materials for a healthy lifestyle program among CHW. This proposal is part of a Brazilian study with partnership with the United States called " Estudo Dona Francisca: mobilizando a comunidade para prevenção e controle de doenças crônicas ", that aims to implement a program of behavior change for healthy lifestyle in primary care settings. The CHW will participate in training using educational materials about physical activity, nutrition and stress management in 2015. It is a qualitative study using interviews carried out by phone with the CHW. A questionnaire will be applied with the CHW about relevance, feasibility and satisfaction of using the educational materials of the program. The expected results include a great perception of importance, satisfaction and feasibility of the educational materials for the program among the CHW. (AU)
