Abstract

The research internship abroad at the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle - Paris 3 will be developed at the Institute for Research on cinema and audiovisual (IRCAV), for seven months, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Roger Odin. With this experience, we intend to increase our understanding of the Semio-pragmatic approach proposed by Professor Odin and apply it in our analysis on the materials and narrative strategies of the animated documentary. We also intend to develop a model of film reading for the animated documentary that can be applied to other hybrid productions. In addition, this experiment in France will give us a closer contact with the production and the research of animated documentaries in Europe, which will help us on the analysis of Brazilian animated documentaries production and on expanding our set of films for the research.
