Abstract The research project aims to improve the scientific studies of student with programming, electronics, communication of Universal Serial Bus (USB) port, microcontrollers and introducing concepts of assistive technology. It is proposed to develop a prototype low-cost peripheral of access, which has to the functionality of a mouse and a keyboard. This device will be prepared with an interface adapted for use by people with reduced mobility in the upper limbs. The device consists of a display and actuators connected to a microcontroller which will read, processing, and communication with the computer, using the USB communication port, through the Class Human Interface Device (HID).Besides the conventional use of peripheral, the device aims to contribute to the process teaching and learning of pupils with special educational needs. | |
