This work propose the surface plasmon resonance (SPR) as a tool for biomolecular interactions investigation, as affinity, adsorption and desorption kinetics and thickness increase in nanostructures, in the two different cases: i) enzymatic biosensor for glucose detection, applying glucose oxidase (GOx), and ii) a imunosensor for prostate specific antigen (PSA), analyzed by antigen-antibody interaction. The biomaterials immobilization technique is very important factor to bioanalysis, and it will carry out by traditional methods of self-assembled monolayers (SAM) and also by surface modification with graphene oxide (GO) layers, it raising the possibility of higher organized biomolecules anchorage and greater response. The GO deposition onto the SPR sensor can be performed by layer-by-layer (LbL) or Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) technique onto a starting SAM. The SPR analysis will be done monitoring the SPR angle at each deposition step, including sensor functionalization step till ligant/analyte interaction, while atomic force microscopy (AFM) can be applied to the sensor surface recovering study. In this way, the present work can provide a significant advance in the biomolecular interaction characterization and in the development of new biosensors, promoting advances to the SPR studies in Brazil.
