A comparison of immediately effect of high frequency oral oscillation procedure with lax vox technique in individuals without vocal complaints

Abstract

Objective: Accomplish the immediately effects of high frequency oral oscillation on vocal quality and to compare the effects with the resonance tubes technique in normal individuals with no vocal complaints. Methods: Thirty subjects, female and male with ages varying from 18 to 45 years will be study. After sign off the documentations the subjects are going to respond questions about voice self-assessment, vocals and laryngeal symptoms. They will be submitted to a vocal sample with vocal emission of /a/, counting numbers and spontaneous speech to further perceptual auditory analysis. Then, on the first meet will be picked the technique that will be realized by the subject in a period of 3 minutes. After 3 minutes, the same proceeding of vocal register will be performed again and after that, the subject will respond questions about self-assessment. After assorting the technique, the same procedures of vocal sample will be repeated an a self-assessment questionnaire that will investigate the effects of voice and laryngeal sensations, articulation and breathing of those techniques. The datas will be analyzed by parametric tests, to compare datas before and after the procedure of voiced tongue vibration technique and high frequency oral oscillation, as well to compare the groups.
