The graphical representation of the natural and socio-spatial transformations demands, increasingly, the use of high-resolution remote systems and GIS platforms, which offer greater possibilities for analysis, with quality assurance and image information. Most of geosciences disciplines are instrumentalized with these tools for better data acquisition and projection of scientific research in their respective study fields. This project aims to instrumentalized technically the researcher for the preparation and analysis of cartographic and remote sensing resulting materials, such as essential step for interpretation of the data of your dissertation/research. Contacts have been established with Professor Dr. Fernando Alvarez Allende, which proved favorable and available for the internship tutor abroad. The professor is linked to the Department of Geography at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid - UAM, Spain, coordinator of the Applied Physics Laboratory of Geography and member of Investigación y Territorio y Paisaje Group in Spain and Latin America, with interest facing geographical information systems and remote sensing. The completion of the research internship abroad is substantial for the implementation of the actions described in the project and especially to address the weaknesses found with the basemap available for the study region. In order to achieve the proposed objectives of this stage will be chart in three steps, which although they are described separately in some situations may present concomitant procedures. The first step will be the methodological theoretical, the second will be the practical part and the third step will be the preparation of the base map and land occupation chart. The results produced will be analyzed from a comparative framework between the data and information generated remotely/digitally and the data and information already collected in the field and produced in the laboratory. At the end of the process, is intended to generate a publication. (AU)
